I think clean shaven has become preferred by guys purely because of porn, as quite a few guys watch it, if only to get a few tips. Women are shaved on porn so that viewers can see everything better, yet guys now expect that to be a fair representation of the female population. Do you not think it weird that naturally women with no genital hair are only pre-pubescent girls, yet this is what guys prefer?
Personally it’s a hygienic thing. I just don’t want to go down on a patch of hair, but some guys may not mind. By the sounds of it, that’s just the guy you’re looking for.

You may want to do one or two mire test just to be sure. False reads are very common in low grade tests.

Most prefer a clean shaven girl, but not everyone does. It’s a personal choice really. If you’re trying to appeal to a bigger audience though, I would suggest a little trim. :)
